Stephanie Llorente is the owner of Prep Communications. She is passionate about partnering with companies to set communications strategies and achieve their business goals through public relations.
Prior to pursuing her entrepreneurial dream, Stephanie managed the corporate reputation for Butterball, the world’s largest turkey producer. She spent nearly eight years in various roles of increasing responsibility with Butterball and served most recently as the company’s public relations manager. In that role, she held responsibility for all crisis communication initiatives, communications for M&A endeavors, product publicity, development of annual corporate PR plans, and Butterball’s well-known Turkey Talk-Line® media spokespeople. Additionally, she managed media relationships, coached executives, provided event support, and proactively engaged with the community as a company ambassador and spokesperson.
Before Stephanie became an expert in “all things turkey,” she logged many hours in PR agency settings on behalf of health care, technology, nonprofit and real estate development clients at award-winning agencies Capstrat and PRStreet.
A native of North Carolina, Stephanie is involved with multiple nonprofit organizations, volunteering in leadership positions to help meet their organizational goals. She is currently an active member of the Public Relations Society of America and serves as the immediate past president on the Raleigh Public Relations Society’s board of directors. She is also the vice president for Harbor Reins, a nonprofit that provides mental health services to veterans and their families.
Stephanie earned her bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in public relations from North Carolina State University and minored in Spanish. She holds an APR designation from the Public Relations Society of America.
